CNIT, OdinS, WAS, and KIT participated to the Digital Around the World event held online (https://digitalaroundtheworld.org/digital-around-the-world-2020/) in October 2020. The event is launched by the IoT Forum as an all-day online conference. The event brought together 400 participants from 37 countries from all continents. The following figure shows the program of the Society 5.0: Smart Cities & 5G session (Fed4IoT session) in the Digital Around the World.
Andrea Detti (CNIT) presented the concepts of IoT Virtualization and VirIoT architecture of Fed4IoT.
Kenji Kanai (WAS) explained Cross-Border Person Finder pilot as an example application of Fed4IoT.
Tetsuya Yokotani introduced another example: Wildlife Monitoring to the audiences.
Antonio Skarmeta (OdinS) gave a talk on “Impact of 5G and Virtualization on Smart Cities”.
